About the Program
Equality Foundation, LLC offers a 29-week batterers’ intervention program for men and women. The program is based primarily on the Duluth Model of intervention, which recognizes domestic violence as a result of one person in an intimate relationship systematically using emotional and physical abuse tactics to maintain power and control over the other.
The "Power and Control: Tactics of Men Who Batter" curriculum aims to help participants understand the tactics of abuse and learn how to end the cycle of violence.
We also offer the "Turning Points" curriculum for women. The curriculum aims to help women understand the violence in their lives and take concrete steps to end it; both the violence they are experiencing and the violence they are using. In addition to the Batterers Intervention Program (BIP), Equality Foundation also offers an 8-hour Anger Managment Program through the 4th Judicial Circuit.
